A California Thanksgiving

We went to Disneyland during our week long excursion in California for Thanksgiving. Porter got his picture taken with Mickey and Minney which, as you can see, went very well. And since Matt was forced into taking more family pictures he forced himself to enjoy it.

We also went to Sequoia while we were there and stood next to the biggest tree in the world. We visited the animals at the L.A. Zoo as well. Porter was a lot more interested in the animals than when we went to the Hogle Zoo. What a difference 6 months makes! The week went by very fast for all of us. Porter really loved being with Grandma and Pop Pop and misses them already.

2007 Family Pictures

We just had our friend Sunnie take some pics of the fam and wanted to post a few. Matt barely tolerates this once a year so it's kind of a big deal for us to actually have some recent family photos. Sunnie got some cute ones but Porter was being a little party pooper and wouldn't smile. Luckily a family with a little dog showed up towards the end of the shoot (Porter loves dogs) so we were able to get a few smiles out of him.

Porter's First Birthday

Porter is now one year old. He had lots of fun with both grandmas and grandpas there to celebrate with him, along with other family. Jack has been VERY jealous since Porter got new toys and he didn't. He's been stealing stuffed animals and balls that Porter got and pretends they're his. The poor puppy... Porter also loves to play the piano and sometimes he even likes to take baths.

This is 8 month old Porter. We went to the zoo for our 3 year anniversary and found out that 8 month olds don't enjoy caged animals as much as an 8 year old might. His favorite part was eating lunch.

Porter also loves reading stories with daddy before bed. I think he really looks up to him.

Little Baby Porter

Here are pictures of the newest addition to our family. His name is Porter Joseph and he was born September 21 at 4:01 p.m., weighed 6 lbs 7 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

This is our home. We moved in a little over a year ago and love the place. The yard is a little small, but I don't mind that when it comes time to do yardwork.
